i mean when my period does come i have horrible back andd stomach pains and head aches that makes me not wanna get out of bed. but also im sexually active with this guy. so please help?

Answer #1

Birth control won’t help with backaches, headaches, and cramps - those are all normal period symptoms that every girl gets. Just say what you mean - you want to go on birth control because you are sexually active. Here’s the thing - you want to act grown up by having sex, but you don’t want to take grown up responsibility by simply telling your mother the truth….fine. Why don’t you just tell her that you just want to be safe for when you do decide to start having sex. Trying to make something up - like you need it for your period - won’t work … a doctor will see right through that.

Answer #2

Just tell her you’re sexually active. It’s the best way to go. Birth control DOES have other benefits, at least it does for me (though I’m not sexually active). I was put on it by my doctor because my periods weren’t regular. Not only does it help regulate my periods but it makes them shorter. Where they were 6-7 days before, now they’re usually about 3-4. Sometimes as little as 2 days. But It won’t help cramps and stuff. You’d need something different for that.

Answer #3

She’ll probably guess in any case. Best thing is to be honest. You can try and make up a story, but don’t be surprised if she guessing you are sexually active, mothers are really good at telling when their kids are lying.

Otherwise Why not go to a government clinic or planned parenthood and get it for free?
