I want to get birth control pills cus I want to become sexually active with my boyfriend...We will probably be able to do it on sunday...but how do I ask my mom without her noticing that thats what it is for...She will probably try to keep us apart if she finds out I want to become sexually active. But how do I ask her??? (me and my boyfriend have been dating 9 months so its not like all of the sudden)

I think you should really wait. I mean I got put on birth control for my periods, but then I lost them and I had to get off of it for a while and now I am having to get back on it. My mom got me on it for my periods and I am glad she did for both reasons her not knowing I am sexually active sometimes, and things have happend and do happen unplanned. But as soon as you start takeing it, its not fully going to work as to protect you from having a baby for a couple of months. Even then it may not work for your period to and it would screw everything up and you would have to go back to your doctor and try another birth control.

I am saying you sould wait but its your choice either way. I really wish any of the times I had sex I would have waited. Either way protect yourself and use a condom no matter what!

you don't have to ask your mum, you're 18 right? go to a doctor and get a prescription.
It is advised that you take the pill for at least two weeks before you have sex to give it time to work. Use a condom as well as the pill for added protection until the pill has time to do its job properly.

Just for your information, it takes 2 weeks after you take your first birthcontrol pill to be some what protected. It has to build up in your system, its not a instant thing.

Just say, Mom I might have sex 'Oneday' so I want to be protected as much as I can. She should get the hint. If she dosen't (Most unlikely) shell be like what...then you say birth control mom. it always works.
