What's wrong with my naval piercing?

I have had my belly button pierced for about 3 or 4 months now and i took the ring out the other day and i noticed it was all like a purplish color around the bottom hole and it is all red and hard in the middle where it covers your ring and it hurts...

sometimes and i dont know what to do can someone help me please??

how about you go to the doc. see if its infected...i probably is...just cleanit real well =]

You clearly have an Infection. The discoloration also could be an allergic reaction to the type of metal. which is not all that uncommon. The hardness you feel is a result of the piercing and the infection. You need to have the area flushed and cleaned, serious infection could arise from this an land you in the emergency room. Leave the ring out for the time being and watch for any types of discharge from the area.
