How long do you boil an egg?

If wanted to make a hard boiled egg, how long do I boil it?

my mom does it for 10 minutes

yea...8-10 minutes..make sure the water is already boiling

Allow the water to come to a complete boil before adding in the eggs.. Then I usually leave the eggs in the boiling water for about 10 minutes!!!

We always put the eggs in the cold water, brought the water to a boil, reduced heat to simmer, then cook until they float.

For soft boiled eggs bring water to rolling boil, add the eggs, cook 3 minutes, then remove. Of course soft boiled eggs are not fully cooked so there is some risk eating them this way. If you get a bad egg it can make you sick.

always add vineagar to the water incase of the egg cracks this will keep it together
