How long does it take for an egg to become hard boiled in boiling water?

About 10 minutes. Or if you put the eggs in the water when it's cold, probably only 8 mins.

For regular people about 10 minutes. But I like them not gooey at all so I put them in for 20 minutes.

Put the raw eggs in a pot and cover with water. Put them on the stove and bring to a full boil. Then either
1. boil for 10 min., or
2. cover the pan with a tight lid, turn off the heat, and let sit for 15 min.
At the end of either method, drain the eggs and add cold water to the pan to cover the eggs. This will allow for easier peeling. I like the peel the eggs under water. I think it goes easier.

no its not my first time the last time I cooked them one of the eggs broke inside the pot but I had left the eggs in there for like 15 min. so maybe there is some correlation with the egg breaking and me leaving the egg in there too long.
