How to get my best friend to talk about something else?

OKay I am really annoyed with my Best friend at the moment...because she wont let go of this one guy that Left our school and is not talking to her or anything...He wants her to call but she wont call him until he calls...its a real Mess...I liked this guy's bro and got over him yea it took 6 months to get over him but she saw her 'guy' everyday at school then before Christmas Break he told her that he wont be at the school no longer...Now its been 3 to 4 weeks later and She still talks about him and talks about him over and over and over again...its starting to get really annoying...She is my best friend and I love her as my sister...BUt I am getting tired of hearing only about him...I dont know what to do anymore...someone please help me I need it badly.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I've had some of my friends occasionally become obsessed with a certain guy or two, though it's normal and not uncommon, however you can fix this. I can see where your friend is coming from also.

She still has true feelings for this guy, and I can tell that your friend has a tough time letting go, and that's exactly what she has to do - Let go of it! This guy moved away and who knows if he's going to come back. If your friend refuses to call this guy or anything, then I don't see why she's keep dwelling about the fact. If your friend really likes this guy still, she'll find the courage somehow to call him, or even speak to him.

If I were you, I would try to talk to your friend, and explain that you understand that she still has feelings for this guy, but it's time to move on. If she doesn't make the attempt to call this guy, or anything, then most likely, she's probaly never going to speak nor see him again. But don't be too harsh on your friend, however like I said, I think it's time for her to move on. Despite how much it may seem hard for her, I think she'll be okay. I wish you the best of luck.

I think we are both crazy. We both need to just move on but we can't. Well, I'm done talking about him. I won't talk about him to you anymore. You can't talk about your guy either though. ok??
