Why do people think all emos cut themselves?

People have to stereotype cultural categories. All people that wear black and chains are Goths. And all people that study hard are geeks. It is just the way our society is.

People Assume that EMO’s cut it’s soo dumb. But I mean people say im Scene but I really doint think that I am. Or am I?

Because most do and most is generally what people base their opinion on.

as people have said it’s a stereotype kinda thing, people are blind and they don’t see that “emo” can be defined as a style or a type of music! “emo” is such a broad word and it’s meaning is trown around by many people! ahahaha… I’m asian, and for some reason people think that asians are suppose to be super smart! - but ha! I’m not…lol… don’t get me wrong! I’m not dumb!… I’m just average!

because it’s a stereotype. Stereotypes exist for a reason but it is never “ALL emos cut,” just the same as not ALL asians are smart or whatever. Dont mean to ofend anyone but thats just what I think.

people are just like that, they believe whatever they hear. it annoys the hell outta me. people call me emo all the time, but I get along with like everyone in my school so nobody says anything offensive to me =] but they do to other kids they dont know
