what do you think about emo people? what do you think their steriotypes are? do you think emo people have a reason to be emo? what perpose?

lol you see everyone calls me emo and I never see it that way because to me people are people if you shop at hottopic and like to wear skinnies and have funky hair and you like to listen to aiden and things like that oh well...emo isnt real... people that call themselves emo well thats what they think they are...emo is a genre of music and nothing else.

the stereotype of course is the quiet kids that are always sad and have black hair listen to sad music and cut themseles...as for the cutting themselves thing which I am sure your implying people do that for diffrent reasons like I did...but I was going through a lot...it doesnt make me or anyone else emo.

I think they are as equal as anybody else.

I hate stereotyping so I'm not going to answer that part. Like just because someone is 'emo' doesn't mean they slit their wrists, doesn't mean they are striving to be different, etc.

I'd assume so, they seem to be down a lot. And people don't just get depressed for no reason.

I rarely find a unfake emo, I dunno why I always find them kinda like wannabe, it was in fashion last year. I get on with most genres of people but everybody should just be comfortable in themselves. dont have to dress like your friends. my friends are a mixture, I have indie kids, chavs, emos and even a hippy dont let people judge you because the chances are there are people just like you everywhere. When you get older you find that them genres all disapear.

Personally, I love emos. They have a great style, and are mostly really hot.

Well, just because you are emo does not mean you cut yourself. I hate those sterotypes.

Yeah, they do. Most people have a reason for doing everything they do.

Emo people disgust me. Depression isn't a fad, it's a serious mental illness. These kids are just so desperate to fit in that they will conform to anything and it makes me sick. Most of them don't even have a clue what true depression is...
