Do you have to cut yourself to be emo?

I love the way emo people look and the clothes but do yhoo have to cut your self to be an emo x <3

emo isn't people. it's a genre of music. if they cut themselves that means that they have psychological issues that need to be taken care of.

First of all, don't label people. Labels hurt people.
People cut themselves because of depression problems.

emo is a genre of music and now its seems a style of clothing! cutting is a form of deppresion and , I wouldnt start it if I was you!

My cousin is emo and he does not cut himself. I don't know how old you are, but that is rediculous if you believe you have to cut yourself to be emo. Be smart and don't start!!

some emo people are associated with being 'emotinal' hence the short term emo.
