why do people make fun of emo people?

Why do people make fun of emo people.
I want to hit them for it, they are just people like you and me, they just have a harder time going through tough stuff than other people, they are sensitive and more emotional. SO back the hell off. =]

people are insecure about themselves and in order to get rid of that they get what I call dikhead impulses and they go around making fun of people until they feel better.
in otherwords, people are assholes, thats why people make fun of emos.
I've looked into this, I experience it every day. I support your cause.

Every stereotype gets made fun of by someone, its just how things are. Its not just the emos that get picked on. The 'emo' kids put down everyone else just as much as they get put down.

I don't make fun of people who say theyre 'emo', but I do think its better to be yourself than to label yourself.

Especially since emo is so overused these days. I get called it ALL the time because I apparently 'dress like an emo'.

Labels are annoying most of the time.

I dyed my purple in streaks (very light) and then apparently my friends sister whos in year 8 or 9 or something started telling everyone im emo, and now I think all 7 seven has heard that rumour. what the f*ck. My friends say I am like the opposite of emo, I know its so fin annoying to called something in a bad way.

uberalex0, not everyone who makes fun of someone is insecure. Some people just think it's funny and don't care about the other persons feelings. They're just genuine a**holes. However, not everyone's an asshole.

now days a lot of idiots go around calling everyone wearing black emo
to them its a sissy word that they can use to insualt someone
but to me there the sissys who have nothing better to do with there life
every stereotype gets it, because not everyone likes the same thing.
so you just be true to yourself and accept the cost
