Dogs eating cat poop

Why do dogs eat cat poop/cat litter?
Mines does and it's gross and conserning and its turning the poop (his poop) white.

Gendr male
Was rescued and is fixed

OOH YOUR DOG IS NASTY, NO I'M TRIPPING, BUT THAT'S WEIRD I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT NEITHER.

If I remember right, I was told they do that because, a lack of certain vitamins minerals...if you put meat tenderizer on it, it's saposed to detour they from eating it...or you can pick it up to keep him from eating it...I know it's gross..dichihuahua

I've never met a dog who didn't like cat poop...doggie version of Almond Rocha...LOL...

Put the cat box somewhere so the dog can't get into it...one of these days, he's going to get a nasty case of the runs from eating it...

Haven't you ever heard of doggie snack tray! Dogs love cat poop. All dogs will get in the cat box. I don't care if you think you cute little mutt won't, you don't know what goes on when you are sleeping. After midnight snack time.

As Phrannie said move the cat box.

I got a cat box with a top on it and once I heard my Boxer sneaking into the cat box and I yelled at her as loud as I could and she came running through the house with the top of the cat box stuck around her neck.

Just don't let him give you doggie kisses right after being in the cat box
