my mom's dog eats her own poop an she also eats the cat's poop out of the litter box as soon as they're done pooh-ing! does this seem strange to u?

Change her food, she needs something in her diet. Add fish oil to her diet, but make sure you are adding the right amount for her weight.

The food she is eating is passing through her intestine to fast. When this happens the protein in the food is not getting digested fast enough and a lot of the protein being passed leaving the poop appetizing. So what I mean by she needs something in her diet, she is most likely not digesting the protein she is eating well enough to satisfy her either.

Get a Cat box that the dog can't get into. They do have them. Make sure the dog can not get to the cat box. Also keep the cat box cleaned out.

Also cats eat fish and the dog is wanting something that is in the food the cat is eating. Add fish oil to your dogs diet. This is at your Pet supply store or local Vets office. Based on weight do not forget that.

Cat poop has lots of protein, so its natural for the dog to get deduct its worth the taste of poop to eat it. . Usually they don't eat their own poop but that is a good sign that they are lacking it drastically. Once you get advice from a vet's office (either needs help with protein or needs more and better food) you can buy a pet spray to add to food, that makes them not want to eat poop.
