Why does my dog eat his toenails?

sexxi lips!!! Asked by jennlovesmakeup over 2 years ago, 1 answer.

My Boston Terrier loves to eat his toenails after I clip them. Is this some sort of nutrition deficency? I am sure it isnt really that bad for him, but it is pretty wierd. does anyone know why he is doing it?

My toy Fox Terrier does the same thing. Just don't let him get to the nails. It isn't a problem just a dog thing. Dog's do eat poop, so toenails seem logical with that in mind. However you can train them not to eat poop.
