There's this thing called Bitter Apple that you can buy from most pet stores or online.
It's a colorless spray that tastes awful. You are supposed to spray it wherever a dog is chewing that he isn't supposed to, so it tastes bad when they chew there and learn to stop.
It gets great reviews from customers at my shelter's gift shop.
THEY ARE PUPPIES...WHEN YOU CATCH THEM DOING IT. TELL THEM NO STURNLY.
Oh also, if they are young enough to still be teething, make sure you give them plenty of things they are allowed to chew (ie. rubber toys). Just like human babies, it hurts when they teeth and chewing soothes this pain.
Ditto to the Bitter Apple...BUT, in order for it to be effective...you've got to spray a little into their mouths...so they get a good taste of it...after that, they'll avoid anything that smells like it.
p
They are still puppies so they're probably teething so give them rawhyde bones or try a pear of old shoes that you dont want

My dogs chew on wood
Send me Fun Mail
I have 2 puppies. one a Pug(girl) and ones a Pitbull(boy). they love to chew on things but for some reason they like chewing on wood. they chew on the armchairs and stools. its so weird. we once had a dog who did that, but im wondering if it'll hurt their mouth. my sister said to put like baking soda or sumthin on the wood. its so weird? does anyone know why they do this?
