Supposedly the shot is fully effective 24 hours after getting it, so I would say it was in full effect by the 27th October. But just because you're on birth control doesn't mean you can't still get pregnant, and it won't stop you from getting any STD's - be truly safe and use a condom as well.

You should've known that you could get pregnant.
my doctor told me that it takes 24 hrs to get into your system. but it takes about a month or so to take FULL effect.

Hi ! I need some help. Does anyone know anything about the Depo Provera??? I just got my shot on October 16th and I had unprotected sex on October 27th, was it to sooon? I cannot find any information at all pertaining to this! thanksss!!!
