Chihuahua had a c section has a infection won't eat or drink,

my chihuahua had a c section and has a infection and is on meds from the vet, she not eating or drinking, can I give her egg yolks and how many a day,

I would check back with the vet again just to be sure of what to do. In the meantime, don't give egg yolks, they will probably do nothing more than make her sick. Instead of regular dog food, try to give her either chicken or turkey stage 1 baby food. This is easier on her stomach and she is less likely to get sick. Also, you need to make sure she is drinking water, evern if you have to force her to drink it. Give her tiny squirts of water from a syringe every now and then to make sure she stays hydrated.

Keep a close eye on her incision. If it becomes red, puffy or starts draining, take her to the vet immediately. This could mean that she has a major infection inside her that could potentially kill her. Also keep a close eye on her gums. As long as they stay a healthy pink color, she should be fine. She might need an I V for fluids. Please take her to the vet. ASAP!
