Should a young man wear a shirt and tie to a job interview or is just a nice shirt ok?

General rule, always go for the shirt and tie. Rather be overdressed and show that you really want the job than be underdressed. If you do give us more information about what type of job you are talking about then I can tell you what would be appropriate.

It depends on the job type. If it’s for a grocery store or fast food place, wearing a nice shirt is enough. If it’s for something more serious, I’d say going with a tie and nice shirt would be appropriate.

my mom helps people get jobs and job interviews and she always said the person interviewing always looks at how the person is dressed and all. 10 second impression thing. She said they should wear dress pants, a button up shirt and tie

i think if its a nice button shirt, then it should be fine.. it really depends on what the job is, if its a business type one, shirt and tie, if its food or causal jobs then a nice shirt should be ok?

to wear a tie and a shirt it’s ok, but a nice shirt would also do it,cause iwhat matters the most is what the dude´s gonna say in the interview not the aperiance,plus there’s a thing called free speech and free speech it’s also to speak torugh your clothing, i mean it doen’s matter if he goes informal, as long as he is samrt and wize he would do ok on the interview :)
