Home More advice Food & Dining
I agree with "healthier", but don't forget "hungrier" ... many people these days rely on fast food to maintain their appetites when they are running around with jam-packed schedules. Back in the day, when mom stayed home and took care of the house and meals, it was easier for people to enjoy home-cooked foods, but nowadays, both mom and dad work, so who makes the meals when nobody has time? McDonald's.
Slower. Just imagine we all had to go home and cook our meal ourselves at lunch break. Just imagine you couldn't rush along and stuff any filler between you teeth when you travel. You'd have to sit down in an old style inn and buy a bowl of stew... or whatever. Weird. :-)
Though I hate fast food, it actually almost vital for living. If I'm low on money (which I usally am) I can just go to a chic-fil-a and bam :D I am full, and still hve a few bucks.
I found that preparing a meal at home in the evening, bringing it to work in a plastic box and heating it in the microwave at lunchtime was cheaper on the long run.
Healthier but most people now-a-days do not know how to cook meals never mind using vegetables and fruit in their diet too
The average weight of all Americans would be lower but there would still be obesity.
There would be a lot less over-weight people, that's for sure!
