why is the sun big at sunset?

why is the sun big at sunset?

Answer #1

It’s a trick of the light…as it gets closer to the horizon, you can more easily compare it with other “stuff” where as when it’s in the sky, you have no concrete objects to compare it to.

So when it’s closer to the horizon at sunset the sun seems larger.

Answer #2

Closer
