Why emo what happened to goth?

What happined to goth?

Answer #1

Um, frankisdank, you just described punk, not goth. And stephanief987, Goth is not a stereotype, it is a culture, a state of mind if you will. And, to answer the actual question, there are still plenty of goths out there ( I’m a goth ). It’s just that new cultures come out of the existing ones. Observe… PUNK led into GOTH led into EMO led into SCENE.

Answer #2

self harm is self harm. not emo not all goths are “evil” theres still lots of goths out there but people who dont dress like the norm dont tend to hang around it there in other places its annoying though, how warped peoples opinions on sterotypes can be

Answer #3

As the years go by, more stereotypes get created and others fade. Thats just how it is.

Answer #4

Emo and goth are two different things Goths are people who like black and death and evil and stuff like that emo is someone who is depressed and hates life and believe that hurting themselfs will make them feel better

Answer #5

well I wouldnt exzctly say all emos hurt themselves. but there are still goths out there as well as emo. you can tell just by looking at someone. goth has more of a dramatic appeal, baggy pants with chains, crosses, bright hair etc. emo is more subtle. skinny jeans, hoods up, peircings on face, choppy hair, etc. and not every one is a dramatic form of it. like some people call me emo and all I wear usually is like jeans and a black t shirt and vans. who knows.

hope that helped.

Answer #6
