Why do people put themselves down?

I know a lot of girls who always claim to be fat and ugly, I especially hear them tell guys “I’m so fat…” or “I’m so ugly…” sometimes they say them as a question… My sister does that a lot yet all the guys seem to like her (I donno why though) and well everyday she complains about the she looks etc. Why do girls (or guys) put themselves down all the time???

because they are desperate attention from people. especially people from their preferred sex.

they are losers, who think they’re cute, but in reality they’re just insecure and fishing for compliments :}
