Why are people judgemental?
I heard that everyone is judgemental to an extent but why are we?
well you have to be judgemental in order to make a decision… evolution theory… we had to decide if the lion was going to eat us, if that stranger was a friend or enemy, etc etc… it’s for survival… since our survival is no longer on based on running from a tiger, but instead on living with a community, we have to make judgements in order to further our goals… you make a judgement about whether to talk to a person based on certain characteristics, whether to pick up your pace and walk faster when you’re in a dark alley and a creepy looking guy is walking behind you… you cant trust everyone and everything, and so being judgemental is how we distinguish between good and bad.
yes, I think everyone is judgemental. it’s just human nature, I do it a lot- even though I try not to.
