Why do people think so bad about pitbulls?

…I don’t know, Michael Vick in the news, every wannabe gangsta rap artist with a demonic looking dog in their videos, every so often a news clip of a child or an adult being mauled. The negative perception heightened by all these occurances. I own pitbulls and american bulldogs. I love them to death and the truth of the matter is that the breed isnt bad, its the people that exploit them.

they were bred to be fighting, vicious, attacking dogs. then someone gets one as a family pet and wonders why it bit their kid. now they have a reputation as an evil dog. they only do what is in their instincts, as do every animal. it was human’s fault for breeding a dog like this on purpose. im not saying I don’t like them, im just saying its not their fault.

Majority of dog attacks involve that breed of dog …Especially over here..

I personally dont mind any dogs..but I do believe that all breeds of dog are going to trigger that behaviour some time in their life…its just their nature…and the situations they are put in..

So yeah people only think bad of that breed because of its reputation as a breed thus far…People need to look at the bigger picture…

I do not hate this breed, I hate the people who raise them to be a very aggressive dog, I see a pit about once to twice a week where I work, and I would say 1-15 are nasty and you can tell just by the way the owner is talking and treating the dog that they have done this. I will say that most of the dogs we fix from dog fights are NOT pit’s.

So, you do realize that pitbulls have killed more people than any other dog breed RIGHT?

Now, consider what that means (they’re not the most common breed after all) and then ask YOURSELF the question. I’m sure you can come up with the answer.

It’s because pit bulls are the number one choice of breed of dog to have been bred to fight in dog fights which are illegal. I’ve seen them on Animal Cops.

because the “PEOPLE” have turned so many of them bad, that everyone thinks that is what the dog is.. bad.. they are wonderful dogs and I wish more people would see that. Each dog is differant, dont matter if it is that same bread, they all have there own mind. So if you couldnt tell, I think badly about the people NOT the pitbulls.

Iguess because of how aggressive they can be. I think it depends on what kinda home life theyve been rasised with. Like, I have a friend that has two pitbulls cute and sweet as can be. So it all just depends… some people raise them to be aggressive and violent, why? Im not sure.

I don’t know I love them. They make good family pets like Dobermans.
