corn snakes are very good- they come in a variety of colors.
depending on where you live a NORTHERN RED BELLY is a very good choice as well, i had one and she got to about 12 inches long and a little bit bigger than a pencil around.i had her for about 5 years.
i caught her when she was a baby and fed her worms and slugs, so she was easy to take care of.
A ball python is a good snake for a pet, they are usally easy to care for and docile, and not big enough to be a threat to people or larger pets. They are also readily available and not extremely expnsive.
Corn and milk snakes also make good pets
A king snake my bf had one but left the cage open so it got loose and he never found it but there good snakes.
omg.....iss a real crazy idea....better get something other than snakes:)
