What's worse - your parents finding out you have a real life boyfriend or online boyfriend?

Your parents will react either way, but obviously they would be concerned about you meeting people online, with all the predators hanging around it nowadays. At least with a real life boyfriend your parents can meet him and his parents, get to know him, etc.

Online boyfriend. You know who the real life one is and all, but an online one, could be laying to and be some kind of pervert traying to get at you…

Online boyfriend, they might think yr crazy, there’s a negative thing that goe’s along with meeting anybody online in general, ppl just think its weird.

I guess I got Lucky. I was (good and 2 year) friends with a guy online he is 5 years older than me. We started dating and I told my parents. They didnt think it made since and 3 months after (Iwas 18) He got me a plane ticket. Its been 2 years. We went and visit my fam and they love him.

it really depends on their opinions. obviously any protective mother will be mad with an online boyfreind because its more secret. and there are SO many disgusting predators on the internet that pray on girls and manipulate them. however, bad things can happen in real life relationships like an abusive/ drug taking boyfriend who could control you/change you or pressure you into doing soemthing you dont want to. but in real life there the option to see who your actually dating

Depends on where your online boyfriend Lives. If he is very very far then the real boyfriend would be worse. If he is next door the its the same. Parents dont really care if you have a boyfriend. Its like any other friend. Its the possibility of you getting hurt or pregnant that worries them. That’s all basically.

I got lucky too. I met my boyfriend online over a year ago. We started dating February 18th, 2010 :)) He has come here to Vegas several times to see me and is about to make another trip and I even went to SoCal to see him once :) Plus my brothers and mom like/love him (father’s neutral). I’m happy it turned out good for both of us.
