  All putting it in ice does it make it cold and numb it.. If it is swollen it is because your finger is sort of protecting itself from what ever you have done to it, for example a cut.. Its just like a shield so it doesn't get really bad.. It will soon go the best thing you can do it keep it clean, don't squeeze it & wait.. =)
