What will happen in the future if ocean pollution isn't reduced?

What will happen? The consequences if it’s not fixed now? Should we be worried?

Answer #1

Over a billion people depend on the ocean for food - eg, fish, etc. So if pollution continues, that’s a billion more starving people.

Answer #2

of course you should be worried EVERYTHING ON EARTH DEPENDS ON WATER!!! you know the process of water in which it turns from a solid to a liquid to gas. Now ocean water is the liquid state of water, if ocean water has a ton of pollution all of that pollution will go with it when it goes into its gas state which is water vapor or steam. This form of water turns into cloud, now when the cloud is dense enough it will rain down taking all of the polution with it. Trees have a huge dependancy on rain water, if this water is polluted then the trees will get sick and die! Animals as well depend on rain water as a natural drinking source you can see how this is important to the world itself! If this polution worsens then the human race is done for literally speaking…
