What should you do when school becomes overwhelming and the work becomes to much? And how do you handle the stress that school can give you?
Find out exactly what it is that is overwhelming to you and making you push yourself so hard. Ask yourself: Is it the amount of homework I receive? Do my teachers stress me out? Are my classmates the reason I am stressing out? Do I get enough sleep at night (its vital to have a good night sleep on school nights)? Am I just being lazy? Do my friends at school go through this same problem? Is my living situation okay?
When you have answers to your questions, its easier to work around it than to not understand what is making you go over the limit and eventually lead you to becoming more stressed and possibly depressed.
There are many ways to go about stress. Personally, I went through a similar situation in HS where I literally thought over and over to just drop out. I didn't because then I would be throwing away all those years I went to school.
Try to understand what is stressing you out before addressing the problem with random solutions. Learn about your situation whether it be to sit down with your teacher and ask them or to talk to a fellow classmate.
I hope this helps!
I have found that making a schedule to section off appropriate time for everything has worked best for me in the past. It's best to do it that way so that you fit in time to relax, too. That way it's not constant work, but you still get it done.
Another tip? Don't procrastinate. If you have a project or a paper assigned, do it sooner than later. Doing everything in the last day or two calls for serious overload. Overloads cause massive stress.
In all - work first, relax later. Take breaks. Schedule time and stick to it. Ask for help when you need it. Make sure you get enough sleep. Eat right. Don't slack. DO NOT DROP OUT OR QUIT.
If you do that, that's a step in the right direction.
you SHOULD NOT drop out think about all those years of school you went through its now or never try and fail but NEVER fail to try im like you but im not in highschool and I relized the other day that I better get through this or life will be over if you drop out you'll end up begging for money on da streets so just push on and try your best
I feel exactly the same way!!! I am in seventh grade. I stay up until all hours of the night doing homework. I am pretty smart (I have all 98 percents and above) and none of my friends have this problem. School is giving me nervous breakdowns and I am getting depressed.
you just gotta keep pushing your way pass it
school is overwhelming me right now to. it tough. or you can just drop out? or you can find a good hobby that help you forget about school
like a after school sport.
Here's a good quote.. "The only path to failure, is in no longer trying". Keep pushing forward and you can achieve anything! =D
you only have a year and half (: I'm a junior too, so you're not alone.. I just push through it, and get it over with.
I know how you feel , when that happens , I just think about grad :)
Im in highschool, ima junior
