I'm sick of Christians shoving their beliefs down everyone's throats. Everywhere on this site, I am always seeing people post "Just look to god for the answer. The only way you can find the answer is through god. Bla bla bla..." I, for one, am not religious at all, and a lot of other people are the same way. So if Christians are meant to be good people and stuff, why can't they respect other peoples' beliefs? When did god say that Christians should go around trying to change the beliefs of other people by shoving Christianity in peoples' face?
ok, my opinion (as a Christian) is that this question is way too stereotypical... yes, some so called "Christians" do give other Christians a bad name... I'm not the world's best Christian... I'm 15, I smoke, I have sex, and I swear... I have a very messed up past and my present pretty much sucks too... but the whole thing about Christianity is faith... I have no proof that heaven or hell or any of it is real... but if it is real, if there is such a place as hell, wouldn't you want to do anything possible to stay away from it?... and if there was such an amazing place as heaven, wouldn't you want to do anything possible to go there?... I'm not perfect, nor will I ever be... I don't try to shove my beliefs in people's faces... my boyfriend hates Christianity and I still love him... Christians are supposed to love their neighbors as themselves, and well even though I pretty much hate myself sometimes, I do my best to treat others the best that I can... now being a good person isn't going to get me into heaven if there is such a place, but that is why I have my faith... I believe that there is a God and there is a heaven and a hell, I know that I am a sinner, I don't deny that one bit... a long time ago I said a prayer and asked Christ into my life... now I've done a lot since then and I have no idea if I'm still good or if I'm damned to hell, but I know that if God is real, then I can say that prayer again at any time and if I am sincere, then he will forgive me, and I will still be a Christian... if this is all real, then when I get to heaven, I will be judged before God, I've done a lot wrong in my life... and I will so be judged... but I live my life as my life, I take thing as they come and I try harder every day to be the best that I can and to live and build a life I can enjoy until the day I die... does that make me an annoying person trying to shove my beliefs on everyone? my beliefs are just that, mine... they are unique to me... and I can only hope that when I die, I don't end up in hell... that's my perspective...

how in the flying fck is that shoving Christianity down someones throat for 1 they never specify what god so it could be any religion and 2 is that comment hurting you in anyway you sad fck because to some people that is what really helps them. there faith in something, now I understand that that may be hard to understand from a seriously sad son of a b*tch who's only belief seems to be shoving HIS own beliefs down everyone Else's throat
religion is important to some people whether it be Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Hindu ,Buddhist etc and we living in a civilized society must have a tolerance and respect for everyones beliefs...stupid douche

They don't ALL do it, and they don't all do it to EVERYONE, and they don't do it EVERYWHERE. Stop generalizing.

...speaking to his disciples. Most modern Christians will take this to mean that THEY TOO, should do so. So that's what they do. Granted, some don't do it PROPERLY, but then again some do.
That prob wasn't the best way to but it. However there are some hear that are a little fanatic about it. Then there are some who are open minded.
You can't win an argument with a christian cause they don't use logic when it comes to their God. Because of this they feel free to replace it with their own reasoning and logic. Part of this is that their God wants them to spread the word. Now they think that if you know the word you will automatically believe. Therefore if you not a believer you must not know the word of God. They can't seem to accept the option that we know all about it, a lot of times better than they do, and simply don't believe it.
For reasons of tact you might want to word your questions better.

The implication is that Christians drag their religious beliefs into topics OUTSIDE the religion section... which is true. From the Christian standpoint, they often believe that God has to do with EVERYTHING, so God is the SOLUTION for everything. Which is NOT always the case...

First of all Christians have any right like everbody eles to tell how we fell. And these days of time people do need GOD, when Christ comes back for us would you want to die and go to Hell oh by the way Hell is NOT A PARTY PLACE, you will be screamming because our flesh will be burnering and their will not be any water to cool of our body or mouth. Oh and if you not like all the Christians on hear then you know how to stay off

You know what? I don't expect them to respect my beliefs, because I have no respect whatsoever for theirs. However, I do expect them to respect me as a person...something that about 30% of them do not do.
Everyone can be nice and be mean. yes christians accept all people, but two wrongs do not make a right.

These are all valid questions. Every group out there has members which just refuse to respect the beliefs of others
For a couple of so called Christians you guys sure are mean. I thought Jesus said to love everyone and to turn the other cheek. You guys need to take some advice from Jesus and quit being so angry.
