What is a job that allows you to work with mentally insane kids?

What are some jobs that allow you to work with mentally insane children? I find insane people interesting and I would like to learn how they are treated and how I could work with them when I am older..(what classes in college must you take too?) specifically children. Thanks.

Child Psychology. Classes would probably include anything in development, psychology, psychiatry, and sociology. Jobs could be a child psychologist, child behaviorist, social worker, child development advisor(?), educator specializing in behavioral children etc..

A few books that may interest you:

NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children Life-Span Development (a great education book, expensive though)

This one isn’t specifically about children: The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat(and other clinical tales) but it is an interesting read about things that go wrong in peoples brains to make them act the way they do.
