Never too late to go back to school and improve your position in life - the sayings very true: ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’…go for it !!

Yeah it depends on what your field is now and what you plan to get into. If you have a degree in something, it should be easy to get into a traineeship/apprentice program in a different career path that lets the company train you on field, but also get paid doing it. Maybe you should look into that if you don’t think you can get a loan for new courses in your new interest.

what I would do is this: find what you are really interested in and go ahead and contact the college you want to go to (if it’s a different one). maybe look into student loans or ask them about other options. if you don’t think that is for you or you think that’ll be a hassle, find a job to finance your way thru college (Wal-Mart, or other places that don’t require college ed.)
I’m 18, and I’m currently going for an interview at Bass Pro Shop to start working there. of course, I’m going to need to help my parents, but it’ll finance my way to college. let me know if you have any questions about other stores/places that you might be interested in, and I’ll tell you if they require it or not.

You do not need a specific degree to get a specific job. I have known so many people that get their degrees in one thing (I.e. Psychology) and get a job in a completely different field (I.e. Project Management). As long as you have a degree, many employers do not care about the type. Just find the job that suits you and go for it. Check out Monster.com for some opportunities in your area.

If though you are wanting to go back to school so that you can learn more in depth into a new field, then I suggest going to Community College. They are cheap and some even offer night or online courses that you can keep working while you take them.

I’d look into what mysterwolf said… find a job that lets you train on the field or actually pays for you to go back to school part time… (the bigger companies sometimes do this) another alternative is try to find work full time for a university and take a couple of credits (mine pays up to 7 credit points per semester). It’s slow, but in 4 years you could be done with a masters without any debt… these are just a couple of suggestions I can think of, but if you’re determined, I’m sure there’s plenty of options

Answer #6

It really depends on the career field you’re in now and the one you’re hoping to go into. It’s possible to earn your Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree online or through night classes. Some people need to go that route because it fits their schedule. As for taking out a loan, I advise against it at this time. Now is the time you want to get out of debt, rather than go into debt.
