Can it? Or does it have to use a bottle made specially for birds? How do they drink? Do they use their toungues?
Nooo... for a bird, with the cage you buy [I guess it depends] you usually get two little trays that clip onto the cage, you fill one with water, and the other with food [Duh XD]
If you don't have one, you could easily buy one from a pet-store, it'll only cost a couple of, £, $ whatever, at most.
You can't really use a hamster water bottle, those type of bottles are really for mammals, like rabbits, hamsters, mice, etc, because they can easily stretch their tongue out to lap at it, whilst that would be quite hard for a bird to do, seeing as their tonues are a lot smaller and can't really come out of their beak.
^^ hope this helped.
No, a budgie can't use a small animal bottle, because a budgie has a hooked beak, they sell these types of bottles at pet stores that clip on to the side of a cage, and it has a little dish on the side where the budgie can sip water up from
As far as I know all those water bottles are the same, just different sizes. I could be wrong tough ... im sure they would be able to use it ... just try and see what happens.. Xo:)
no there is a special type for birds that you can get from pet shops
