Under the dept. Of devense lies the Navy, army, air focre. Marines are a department of the navy. If your looking at anything gaurd then its pretty much the local miltia. you swear your allegance to the state your in.
Wemon are the same as men. Just no frontline duty. Because a guy will spend twice as long trying to save a female than a male if wounded.
But you just need to take the asvab and be physicaly fit. Just stop in to a recruters station and talk to them. They will help u. Dont sign anything untill you see it in writeing. Question the recruters a lot.
