That is an excellent question. I believe you might be thinking of the group of related languages commonly called “Romance Languages.”

It’s not the language, really. French has a soft sound and ‘Je t’aime, mon amour!’ will sound honey-sweet if pronounced properly. Italian and Spanish are supposed to be spirited and sultry. Just like Greek and Hungarian.

But you can be spirited, romantic or sweet in any language. Even in German. ;) And you can be blunt and uncordial in Spanish, Franch and Italian, too.
