So I've been looking everywhere for this answer. What age should the average American own a nice, 2 story home?
I'm planning to work incredibly hard to finish highschool early, get into a computer repair technician school by 18, and plan to have a job by 19 in that field. I also plan to own a very nice house by age 25. Is it possible?
It depends on whether or not you are planning to save up for a bit before you buy the house and on whether you will be buying it alone or with someone. A big problem nowadays is that people buy big houses (and cars for that matter) that they can't afford, simply because that's what's expected. But I would say somewhere in between the age of 25-30 would be a reasonable age to be able to expect to afford to live in a nice house without having to live off ramen for the next 5 years. But it of course all depends on how much you're gonna be earning. Who knows if you get yourself a nice job you might be able to buy a nice house in your early 20's. I'm 19 and live in a relatively big house in a nice area with my best friend, but I was very lucky to get a well paying job right out of high school. There are a lot of expenses you don't expect, and as 'makethegirldance' said, I would suggest you don't go out and buy a house until you have proper financial security. But it most definitely is possible and I think you should go for it!
Its great to set goals. just make sure your financially safe, What i mean is when you go to buy a house at only age 25 make sure if you do, you have a lot of money saved up but in case something happens. but it sounds like you have a bright future! and i wish yea luck:)
yes it is possible. My boyfriend is 17 and he's soon going to college to go to in the same felid and actually do the same thing your thinking about doing
Its very possible. As long as you have enough money and a good job with security, you definitely can. =]
Its absolutely possible! Good luck! I wish I had your drive at that age.
