Why whenever I wake up after fainting I can't hear anything for a few minutes?

I’ve fainted a few times in the doctors office and whenever I awoke I couldn’t hear anything whatsoever for a few minutes, by the time i could hear again i forgot to ask the doctors why it happened. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Answer #1

First of all, why are you fainting?
When you get knocked out, or turn off your brain - it takes a few minutes for the brain to start completly back up again - For a few minutes you will not hear. That means your brain is half awake/ and half asleep

Answer #2

Fainting regularly isn’t normal…. You should ask a doctor about that..

My question is not “Why am i fainting” i’m asking if anyone has any idea why I can’t hear after waking up. Please dont say go to a doctor cause as i said above i’ve been in the doctors office many of the times these spisodes have occured. I know why i faint already. I’m just asking why I can’t hear when I’m conscious again.

Answer #9

When I wake up sometimes and like stand up quickly my vision will get all fuzzy and it’s kind of hard for me to hear but usually it doesn’t happen unless I like try to get moving to quickly as soon as I wake up.

Answer #10

I have never fainted personally, but it sounds somewhat normal that after fainting you can’t hear for a few minutes. Your brain probably is trying to restart, or wake up.
