Absolutely! A 4.0 GPA would be ideal if you were planning on going to an Ivy League school. I would try and aim for a 3.5, but anything in the 3.0 range is still good. Really, it just depends on where you’re planning to apply. When it is time to start applying, don’t worry so much about your GPA. It is what it is, but keep in mind that the application essay is just as important! It allows you to speak to the office of admissions with your own voice. They get a better feel for your personality and how you can add to their student body. So, if you’re worried you won’t get into a certain university because of your GPA, apply anyway and make every piece of your essay count.
