Hmm…First of all, you have to get into their minds, think as they do…for one..picture yourself in their situation…someone telling you what to do or what not to do…first thing that comes to mind is rebel…right? Lets face it learning is boring…the whole I talk you listen til some fall asleep or say ah I am outta here…(doesnt work!) :(

Now turn it around…think of ways to stop that. Instead of telling them what to do, try to turn it into something fun… Make it creative…find a way to get them to listen while having fun…like turning it into a discussion…that will keep them wanting to play along rather then be told what to do!

Another way is to break it up like into groups…that way they all participate kinda like drama class when you assign everyone a different part. might work as well.

Hope that helped… Good luck.

by elaborating things better , being interactive , communicate well, ask queries after explanation , try to consult each student personally cz some of them are shy a lil bit to ask in front of everyone..

Answer #3

Break things down for them and keep it short and simple. Kids get bored when people explain things in too much detail, especially those that don’t like studying (which is the majority of people you find in tutor classes). I’ve had quite a lot of tutors during my studies and the best ones were those who could break down a topic to its bare essentials, but still knew enough to answer a difficult question when needed.

Then also when you give a tutor class, try skipping the theory and only doing questions, theory just makes people sleepy.
