I bought a $10 35mm film camera (its brand is Ginfax) to experiment. It only has 3 buttons; off, on and a symbol of a lightning bolt under a sun. I don't want to use flash but i don't know how to turn it off. I don't have the manual, all i got was this camera and salesperson didnt know a thing about cameras. I've googled it and i didn't find anything helpful. If you could help me, please. What is that symbol for? I tried both settings and they both have a flash, but when i'm in the sun, the on button doesnt have flash, or maybe the sunlight makes me not realise that there is flash. i'm really confused. Thanks!
if you havent yet tried the lightining bolt button, i would assume it means flash, since lightning kind of flashes. so that might turn it off. however being a $10 camera it isnt going to have a lot of options, so theres a good possibility is doesnt come with the ability to turn the flash off
