Is Turkish Delight real?

In the movie “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe,” the queen gives Edmund some Turkish Delight. Is this real or just a fictional object? My teacher said she can get some but she never did. I think she was just fooling with us.

turkish delight is a type of confectionary which has a consistancy kind of like jelly, and it is flavoured with rose water. Its really good. You can also get it flavoured with lemon or mint, but the rose is the best! Its originally from the middle-east, but those versions are a bit different from the western one
