when i went to the bank i ordered check books and the lady told me shes been doing hers online and its easier, safer and faster and free? how?

Well if the lady the bank said you can then you most likely can, contact the bank and ask what procedures you do to write them that way

These are called “eChecks”. The link below summarizes how they work, but you should contact your bank to see if they have a tutorial available for using this method … each bank may have a slightly different method.
