No, a dog will chase you whether you run or not for whatever reason it feels like.

Most dogs do. Protective dogs think that you are guilty of causing some sort of problem so they chase you. Dogs usually tend to classify running as a threat. Me and my friends had to walk one block from our bus to our house, on the way we got chased by our neighbors dogs everyday.

You might run towards it, but you are not chasing it unless it moves away from you pretty fast - at least by my definition of “chasing”.

If you stand still, the dog can’t “chase you”, but it might run at you and bite you.

dog chases u when there is a reason, i.e. ur a threat or some kind, or hes just being playful, so when u run the dog thinks ur a threat (u maybe stole something and trying to get away with it or whatever) but it can think ur a threat even without running, or playful, hope that helps, and u should know this already
