Transferring purchases ipod

My friend wants me to charge her ipod. Well she has some songs on there that I don’t have that I would like.

If I put “transfer purchses” will it delete her songs off? And if it doesn’t will it not be able to go normally on her computer when she gets it back? Someone help?

yes I think so because it alters the playlist it happend to mine it wipes everything off the ipod
