Filletofspam is right on about boarder collies. They are highly inteligent and require tremendous amounts of physical and mental stimulation. To handle two of that breed I would take them through dog training which offers obstacle and other training besides obedience. If you do not focus their mental and physical engergies for them, they will focus their own ...And that's not usually where you want them focused. They are great dogs but they live for energized challenges ...it's in their breed.
Boarder collies are wonderful dogs but are one of the harder dogs to deal with. They are the most intelligent dog breed and being bred for herding all day have tremendous endurance. Unless you can give these dogs a tremendous amount of exercise and mental stimulation they will go crazy. I wouldn't recommend boarder collies for anyone's first dog. You might consider a less demanding breed.
Well, it's basically common sense. You scold them for going to the bathroom in the house, treat them when they do the right thing. To teach them tricks, tell them and show them what to do, and reward them when they do it right. But only try to teach one trick at a time.
Hire a trainer. It can be pricey, but totally worth it. And actually, it will be easier, because puppies tend to follow after eachother, so if one does the right thing, the other will want to be like them. And reward them when they do the right thing.
Just train them one at a time, like put one in a cage while you teach the other and just keep switching them until you feel they're both fairly well trained and then you can try to train them together.
Then you already know what your in for...LOL Good luck, your going to have your work cut out for you....:)
Haha I know. I used to own one. Thanks for the advice!!
I refuse to hire a trainer :p I wanna do it myself :3
Hahaha I know
