well I wouldnt paratice on an actuall person but get a peice of ply wood and hold it by the handle part then flick your wrist and let go! and see if it stabs the wood and stays there.
pretty much the same as youd throw a stick or something like that you want it to spin a lot it does take a LOT of practice though what confused_lil_girl said with the plywood is a good idea practice somewere outside thats away from people, animals, and anything that you wouldnt want to throw a knife at perhapseven you could put a cork or something at the end of the knife so you dont hurt yourself and it wont cut anything while you practice
