What are your thoughts about cyber bullying?

i think cyber bullying is almost bad as bullying in real life cause even though the victum may not be getting physical pain they are still getting emotional pain.

it’s pathetic and very cruel, needs to be stopped but doubt it will

sometimes bullying is on answer and questions sites, idiots answer with cruel replys when they was absolutely no reason to, majority of those people who feel the need to bully others online probably are quiet offline

While I cyber bullying can be just as bad as bullying in person or IRL, it seems that cyber bullying would be some much easier to ignore. IM systems have ignore or block buttons. You can limit who can post and see your post on Facebook. Pretty much all social networking sites have some control to them. Then of course there is always moderators to report the bully to. Its in type so its kind hard to deny the bully did it. If all else fails stop visiting that website or forum.

Bullying in person is much hard to avoid as you are usually required to be around the bully (school, work, neighbor, etc.) and much harder to avoid said bully IRL. But online its pathetically easy.

With how anonymous the internet can be it brings out the worst in some people, but also with the internet how it is it makes avoid said people just as easy.

I just can’t comprehend putting up with cyber bullying until you wanted to commit su!cide.

Cyber bullying is just as worst as personal bullying…with personal bullying, an encounter has to be made…whereas with cyber bullying, this kind of bullying takes place in places you’re expected to feel safe…such as your home. I get haters on my Youtube channel all the time for example…but I’ve been on youtube doing my thing for years so I can take it….but for people just starting up and don’t know what to expect, it can be quite overwhelming. Kids tend to be more malicious online considering that the victim isn’t able to put a face to their harasser. To answer the question, I don’t see why a cyber bullying wouldn’t get punished…it’s harassment.
