Some are now calling it a Photoshop hoax.
Of course we would all be relaxed and be looking straight ahead as the whale can't possibly do anything to the boat, he's just to weak. Of course none of us would be able to hear that big whale rise up from the water, none of us could really, which is why, that man is still looking straight ahead. Come now, it has to be real!
This is more of a tech answer if you examine the photo you will notice a change in pixel quality from the whale and the boat but you guys answer is good to.
There is something all to strange about the boat, it seems as though they might've photoshopped the boat into the picture of the whale...

Haha you noticed exactly what I did except i posted it in a picture comment on accident.
Did they photoshop the wrecked boat, too? There's more than one pic.
