is it right for a teacher to tell a student he feels sorry for the students mother for having the student?

Answer #1

Teachers always say things like this… especially to me.. Don’t take it personally if they do, teachers are just generally grumpy people…

Answer #2

If the teacher is angry and being serious, I’d say it’s unprofessional, rude and not okay. If the teacher is joking and the student knows and is in with the joke, then that’s not bad really.

Answer #3

thats not right. you need to go talk to the councelor about this. it is a form of verbal abuse, and its not right for someone to do to another person.

Answer #4

it really depends on the grade because in high school you see this often but as jokes and wer older and dont take it serious but see it as funny but if it was a kid i think it is because kids could really get hurt by it and it isnt ok for a teacher to be making a student feel less.

Answer #5

im in tenth gradee and he said it serious

Answer #6

Lol. Alright, I imagine that was not very funny to you. I’d talk to the teacher first. Express that comments like that are not ok. If that doesnt work, you need to bring your parents in. Bullying is not ok, especially not from a teacher. I had a good relationship with my teachers, so they would joke with me all the time, and that is why I think you should directly talk to the teacher first. So if it is just a misunderstanding, you can resolve it.
