What is the diffrence between strait and straight
I believe "strait" is for geographical things...like the strait of juan de fuca...
and "straight" is talking about the curviness of a line or whatever you're defining.
so...you could say, "the strait of juan de fuca is very straight!" (whether it is or not...I don't know.)
a strait is a body of water between two islands, for example, the body of water between new zealands north and south islands is called Cook Strait.
Hm...I know GEORGE STRAIT :) :) :)
BAH HA HA HA HA!
