What are steriods? Do they make you bigger? Or are they bad for you?
I'm assuming you're talking about anabolic steroids? because there are a lot of different types of steroids...
This is what wiki has to say on the matter
They are a class of steroid hormones related to the hormone testosterone. They increase protein synthesis within cells, which results in the buildup of cellular tissue especially in muscles. Anabolic steroids also have androgenic and virilizing properties, including the development and maintenance of masculine characteristics such as the growth of the vocal cords and body hair.
Yes they are bad for you (they result in increased aggression, linked to liver cancer, could cause depression, could give you heart issues, etc etc)
such un-edictaed answers
steroids used and not abused (ABUSED) are a great way to take training to the next level, just a bunch of dull, close-minded individuals cant seem to get that into their heads. The first answer saying that all the muscle you gain turns to fat? Are you serious? No, just no. If you stopped training and had a crap diet, then yes you will get fat, however, muscle cant turn into fat guys.. Just like fat cant turn into muscle. Ignore the first two answers and do your own research, and not from sites that are run by the media, because they know very little if anything on the subject.
they make your muscles bigger and can increase skills. Don't ever take them! You get really bad acne. You can get hernias. They are sport killers because as soon your coach finds out you have been using, then you would be kicked off the team
they help break down your muscles quicker too...and since they do that baseball players take them to hit better home runs or pitch faster...I got perscribed steroids and they did just that
true. it will make muscles grow bigger and tense. Eventually gaining more stamina. However, after that, you would experience lethargy.
they put your in a state where you can work less and gain a lot more muscle
but if you stop using it all turns into fat
